Racecourse Features and Location

Carlisle Racecourse is situated at Blackwell on the outskirts of the historic border city of Carlisle. Set in open countryside, the undulating course provides high quality racing ten months of the year staging 12 national hunt meetings from October to April and 8 flat meetings between May and September.

Excellent road, rail and air links make this picturesque track easily accessible from all parts of the country, being only 2 miles from Junction 42 of the M6 and 5 minutes from the railway station.
