Racecourse Features and Location

Epsom Downs is conveniently located just off J8 or J9 of the M25 with AA signs directing all major approach routes. Public transport is also easy with three train stations all serving the Racecourse.  The busiest one (and most recommended one) is Epsom station with a direct link from both London Victoria and Waterloo.  It is then just a short bus or taxi ride up to the course.  Tattenham Corner and Epsom Downs are also nearby with the former being walkable in sensible footware.

On the first Friday and Saturday in June, Epsom Downs Racecourse hosts one of the greatest sporting and social events in the world - The Derby Festival.

Ladies Day starts the Festival on the first Friday in June.  A wonderfully stylish day out, Epsom's Ladies Day is the place to dress up in your finest to see the finest fillies competing in the feature race - The Oaks.  It is the day where Ladies take centre stage both on and off the course and a great opportunity to entertain on a more relaxed day.

The Derby, run on the Saturday, is still the showpiece of The Festival and headlines a great day of racing.  It remains the race that everyone wants to win, as horses and riders are pushed to their limit around the challenging course.  Derby Day is a great day out and always has a special atmosphere.
