Racecourse Features and Location
Racing was first recorded at Exeter in the reign of Charles II and high up at the top of Haldon Hill, there are wonderful far reaching views across the South West. A fair and testing track, Exeter is the highest and one of the longest in the country and many a great racehorse has won their first race here and gone on to superstardom, such as Desert Orchid and Best Mate.
5 miles south west of the end of the M5 at the top of Haldon Hill alongside the A38. 15 minutes by road from Exeter Airport. Helicopters may land at the racecourse. A free bus service from Exeter St David’s Station and the central bus station is available on racedays.
Race Sponsorship
Companies are aware of the potential advertising and image building of race sponsorship. At Exeter we are delighted to tailor sponsorship to suit individual requirements and budgets. The sponsors and their guests enjoy a special status on the day and the excitement of the presentation in the paddock with the winning horse, owner and trainer. The exclusive race naming right is widely published in the national and local press and relayed to nearly 10,000 Betting shops nationwide by satellite TV.
