Racecourse Features and Location

Racing is year round on the flat All Weather track (including day time meetings and evening flood-lit meetings), and from October to March jump racing takes place on the turf.

Kempton's floodlit All Weather track is a right-handed, ten furlong oval.  This is the first racecourse in the world to use a retractable floodlighting system - so when racing's taking place in the daylight the columns go down and everyone has a great view of the course.

Kempton Park, Europe's premier floodlit track, hosts both jump and flat racing, but is famed for the legendary Stan James King George VI Steeple Chase.  Held on Boxing Day since 1937 it provides the pinnacle to a quality jump racing calendar.  Its long and prestigious list of former champions is headed by crowd favourite Desert Orchid and features the illustrious Arkle and Best Mate amongst other famous winners. In 2006 the exciting newcomer Kauto Star thrilled racegoers with an impressive win (and some heart in mouth jumping).

Kempton Park is easily accessible by road, located on the A308, less than one mile from Jctn 1 of the M3 and eight miles from the M25.  There is plenty of car parking either free or paid for.

Kempton Park is just 35 minutes from London Waterloo and there is a train station on site which is open everyday.  Trains leave Waterloo and Clapham Junction every half hour.  Call 08457 484950 for train times.

Race Sponsorship

Kempton Park offers other sponsorship opportunities throughout the flat and National Hunt seasons. Sponsorship of terrestrial TV races starts from £6,000 and non terrestrial televised races are available from £3,000 + VAT.

There are other sponsorship opportunities available throughout the flat and jump seasons.  Sponsorship starts at £500 + VAT.
