Racecourse Features and Location

Plumpton, a charming country racecourse with a spectacular backdrop of the South Downs, stages National Hunt fixtures a year from September to May.

For those wishing to escape the city and enjoy a competitive days racing, just hop on the train from London Victoria to Plumpton, and in just over an hour you will be captivated by the friendly atmosphere and excitement of the days racing ahead.

By Road

· The racecourse is 5 miles North-West of Lewes

· Leave the M25 and Junction 7 and follow the M23 towards Crawley/Gatwick Airport

· Leave the M23 at its terminus and continue on the A23 towards Brighton

· Leave the A23 at the A273 towards Hassocks

· Follow the A273 and bear right at the bottom of the hill onto the B2112 towards Ditchling

· At the Ditchling roundabout turn right onto the B2116 towards Plumpton

· Turn left at the Half Moon Pub and follow the signs to the racecourse

By Bus

There is a FREE bus service from Brighton Station to Plumpton Racecourse. The bus leaves Brighton an hour and half before the first race and will leave Plumpton Racecourse half an hour after the last race.

By Train

Plumpton railway station adjoins the racecourse and is on the London Victoria to Hastings line. There are hourly trains departing Victoria.
