Maggie Carver to succeed Tim Curtis as RaceTech Chairman
RaceTech, the leading supplier of television pictures and other services to the British horseracing industry and which is wholly owned by the Racecourse Association, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maggie Carver as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman-elect. Mrs Carver, who was the outstanding candidate from a rigorous selection process run jointly by RaceTech and the RCA, will succeed Tim Curtis when he steps down in the summer.
Maggie Carver has a background rich in television outside broadcast and racing. Mrs Carver, who is currently Chairman of ITN, is a former director of SiS (1991-2008), Channel 5, and Sporting Index. Executive roles have included that of Managing Director of “Three on Four” (which produced Channel 4 Racing and operated Global Outside Broadcasting) and strategist to Lord Clive Hollick at United Business Media. Mrs Carver’s working life began in investment banking with S.G. Warburg (now UBS).
