The Week Ahead
On Saturday...
Doncaster will be hosting the Sky Bet Chase, a Listed Handicap Chase run over three miles. Formerly known as the Great Yorkshire Chase, this feature race is due off at 2.50pm and will be televised on Channel 4 Racing.
At Cheltenham Festival Trials there will be seven races of huge quality that also provide some final clues to the destination of the big prizes at The Festival in March. This meeting includes The Argento Chase, a valuable trial for the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup, the biggest race of the Jump season.
Many of the horses that run on Festival Trials Day are having their final race before The Festival and it is rare that this meeting doesn't feature at least one subsequent Festival winner. Bobs Worth and Bensalem both jumped into that category in 2011. This is a great opportunity to see some of Jump racing's superstars without the huge crowds of The Festival.
