Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle Finale

In Great Britain, mares and fillies must be four years old or older to compete in the Grade 2 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle Series Final.

There are 10 flights of hurdles that must be cleared throughout the race, which is raced at Newbury over a distance of around 2 miles and 412 furlongs (2 miles, 4 furlongs, and 118 yards, or 4,141 metres).

The novice hurdlers’ race is slated to take place in March each year. In 2017, the race—which has a Limited Handicap designation—was given Grade 2 classification.
