Specialist Joinery Group Handicap Hurdle

EACH WAY – BY YOUR SIDE
Gordon Elliott will be seeking success with By Your Side who won a 23-runner maiden and then followed that up with an impressive third at Cheltenham last time out. ASLUKWOODHAVIT looked exceptionally well when bolting up in a first-time tongue tie and will take some stopping here though.
Pigsback.com Handicap Chase (Grade B)
The 2nd race takes place at 4:15 pm and is the Pigsback.com Handicap Chase (Grade B) race.
NAP – DINOBLUE
EACH WAY – DOUGLAS TALKING
Willie Mullins and Mark Walsh team up with DINOBLUE was again who backed up his impressive second in the Cheltenham Grand Annual with victory at Fairyhouse next time. He could have his work cut out by the Lucinda Russell trained Douglas Talking who will be looking to go one better than the Aintree second last time out.
La Touche Cup Cross Country Race
The 3rd race takes place at 4:50 pm and is the La Touche Cup Cross Country Race.
NAP – SPACE CADET
EACH WAY – STEALTHY TOM
A tough race but the selection is SPACE CADET who has mainly been running in point to point races lately but ran a solid race last time when third under rules. Stealthy Tom has also shown promise but will need to put a recent poor run behind.
The Gordon Elliott-trained Teahupoo looked a fraction unlucky at the Cheltenham festival eventually going down by less than a length. He will be hoping to add this to his impressive tally of win.
Course and distance winner Klassical Dream looks much more at home around here and is sure to be on the premises once again for the Mullins camp.
Conway Piling Handicap Hurdle (Grade B)
The 5th race takes place at 6:00 pm and is the Conway Piling Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) race.
NAP – WALKING ON AIR
EACH WAY – LORD SNOOTIE
Nicky Henderson will be hoping WALKING ON AIR can be much more fluent over his obstacles this time round after finishing 5th in grade 3 at Cheltenham last time out. Lord Snootie runs in a first-time tongue tie and market support would be interesting.
Barberstown Castle Novice Chase (Grade 1)
The 6th race takes place at 6:35 pm and is the Barberstown Castle Novice Chase (Grade 1) race.
Nap – EL FABIOLO
Each Way – DYSART DYNAMO
Almost impossible to oppose the Willie Mullins trained EL FABIOLO set to be partnered with Paul Townsend. He seems to keep improving with every run and took his form to new levels at the Cheltenham Festival last time out.
Stablemate Dysart Dynamo suffered a crashing fall that day when beaten and a clear round could see him chase the selection home.
Mares Irish EBF Handicap Chase
The 7th race takes place at 7:10 pm and is the Mares Irish EBF Handicap Chase race.
NAP – QUEEN JANE
EACH WAY – PONT AVAL
Henry De Bromhead and Racheal Blackmore team up with the Hatrick seeking QUEEN JANE and the selection is taken to triumph over the Willie Mullins first time tongue-strapped Pont Aval.
JP&M 70 Years In Business (C&G) Flat Race
The final race of the day is the JP & M Doyle (C&G) Flat Race at 7:45 pm.
NAP – BALLYBURN
EACH WAY – SLADE STEEL
An interesting finale to end the day and the two to concentrate on seem to be BALLYBURN and Slade Steel. Both horses have very similar profiles having won both starts to date and both boast course and distance form but the Mullins horse is fancied to come out on top.
