The Sussex Stakes is followed by a 1m2f fillies handicap for horses 3 years of age and older.
With four of the six renewals in this 0-105 race going to 3-year-old horses, it has been a successful battle for the horses. Four winners have been set at double-figure odds during that time, and not a single favourite has delivered.
However, the most recent winner, Achelois, wasn’t unfancied when given a 3/1 chance a year ago.
